Hey USS Utah, have you just awoken from a coma of several months or something? Utah winning the Sug was awesome and all but it is sooooo January. In fact if you'd like to go through the threads you'll find that we already discussed it ad nauseum. We've shared the highlights, the photos, the news articles, the smack. We argued and laughed and cursed.

Meanwhile, do you have any thoughts to share on, say, the QB situation?

First, it's a brand new video. Second, it's June and more than a month before fall camp opens. It's the offseason with very little sports to talk about.

Maybe I'll just come back in August.

Really. They all have they're pros and cons, and I'm glad I'm not the one who has to make the decision.

If you seen any of his posting on other boards he actually has nothing useful to share on anything. This is his sadly misguided attempt to get at me and as those who have known me for some time know that it is a pretty poor effort at best compared to the classic trolls.

That being said over here would I be allowed to post an opinion on the QB situation without being told to not speak about the topic and that Kyle Whittingham is a genius in all things and will make the proper choice and I should sit quietly and wait for this choice to be enlighten upon me?

Actually, it wasn't. The video's creator posted it at UF.N, announcing it was new. I loved it and posted it here. I couldnt' think of a good title for the thread, so I admit tweaking you on that.

I posted the video in two other places last night, as well. On Facebook and at my history group.

I'm obviously in the wrong place, though. I haven't done a single thing right since I got here.

I've read the many postings at UF.N on the QB question. It is obvious that most of those participating know a lot more about football than I do. I can see that each has their strengths and weaknesses, and I can see why its a three man race. But beyond that. . . .

What is it about this weird vortex of board that the BYU fans seem much much cooler and funnier than the Ute fans. Maybe we've had the story all wrong all along.

Maybe the Utes were indeed the Nephites and you Cougars the Lamenites and what we are witnessing now is the Utes/Nephites even growing more wicked than the Lamenites. While that is the extent of the story I recall from the discussions, I think perhaps I'm seeing it.

And I think that because I've stopped drinking half because the wife is pregnant and she can't drink and because my coming surgery forces me to quit anyway, its why I'm seeing it all the more clearly.

I will take a shot at this. Clearly, Louks had the inside track going into spring, but either Cain/Winn performed ahead of what the coaches expected from them or Louks gave the coaches some concern(loose with the ball maybe). I don't buy the talk of Winn being in the mix even though he has bulked up. IIRC most of his reps in spring were against the 2nd unit so he likely would be able to shine more. I like Cain to win the job in the fall.

But to hack Portland Ute on Utah.rivals: Remember when we made the elite 8 and lost KVH? We really sucked the next year.

I personally worry more about our Kicker than I do our QB. I am still paying for therapy to help me recover from the Ryan Kaneshiro era of Utah football.
