  • Fed Up w/Pac 12 - Directv dispute blocking games

The Pac 12 administrators soaked ESPN and Fox for $3 billion last year for broadcast licensing, a record in college sports. They are reaching for the moon on fees with other broadcast networks like Directv, even if it means they will block broadcasts. The Pac 12 blocked Directv since they would not agree to their new terms.

Aside from the block, the Pac 12 hardball will translate into higher cable/satellite costs for everybody. This is during one of the worst economic periods in U.S. history.

    Thank you.

Why would I want to watch the PAC 12 network? All the good PAC 12 games (USC and Oregon) are on ESPN. I couldn't careless is the PAC 12 network ever gets on Dtv or any other provider for that matter.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I am sure you were pissed when DTV was the only company to carry the MTN network when we were all still in the MWC.

I will give you as much support now as you gave back then.

      Gracias.

I have Dish so I have the PAC12 network.

Now that the SC Kal game is over, I agree with you. I have no reason to watch the PAC 12 network until next football season.

Still no PAC-X network on DTV... but Larry gets the lucrative Australia market locked up:

So does this mean the PAC-X games will be moved to play late at night on Fridays so the Australians can tune in around mid day on their Saturdays?
