  • Steve Kafausi BYUs D-line coach is the number 1 candidate to replace Anderson.

I find this very interesting. First of all he was at Utah to begin with and then came down to BYU to take the same position. Secondly he is a very good recruiter and his son is going to be the top recruit in the state of Utah in 2010, he has actually already committed to BYU.

If that happens, I wonder if that means Keith Uperesa finds his way up to BYU.

Unless BYU wants to get rid of their OL coach, I doubt you'll see Uperesa in Provo.

I wasn't impressed with him during his stint @ SC.

I wonder if Steve Coburn Snows head coach would be a candidate. He has built a national power after a few down years at Snow. He is a BYU grad and he coached under Ken Schmidt at Ricks.

Ugh. That would really suck. Landing Kafusi was a huge get for BYU. Losing him would be a big blow. This seriously may suck the joy out of Utah losing Anderson to Utah State.

My thoughts exactly. I also bet we lose his son.

I would think that KW would want to act quickly on Kaufusi on the off chance that Walker gets a HC job and takes Jaime Hill with him. Then again, many cougar faithful want Rocky Long as their DC anyway.

Just curious...how huge would it be for Utah to land Kaufusi and Joe Kruger in 2010?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I don't want Rocky Long as our DC. There's pretty much zero chance of that happening anyway.

Wasn't Kaufusi pretty instrumental in re-establishing the poly pipeline?

It would suck to lose him.

What makes Kaufusi so great? If he is great, why didn't BYU give him the DC job instead of Hill? If he is better than Hill, then Bronco should demote Hill and promote Kaufusi. Seems simple enough.
