    Hill in backyard.
A 6' foot high wall will give us another 13' of back yardage.
Wall will be about 80-100' long, 6' high for most the way, then tapering down at the ends to sort of blend into the land.

What does a 6' wall imply? Footers? Cinder blocks? Forms and concrete?
What does a < 6' wall imply, as far as footers, cinder blocks, cardboard factories, etc.
I'm covering the front with stacked field stone, mortared in place. So I don't care what are used for the business part of the wall.

    peace.
    I intend to live forever.
    So far, so good.

I forget where you live, but anything over 4' has to be engineered in CA. You'll need drainage, like french drains.

I would suggest a concrete retaining wall, set on a footer. Any reputable local contractor would form the wall with Symons, Simmons, or similar form system. If you are going to do it yourself, form systems are available for rent and are relatively user friendly for the average DIY (which you have proven that you are very skilled). The cheaper route would be 2xs with plywood. Very doable.

I was googling concrete block wall lights, because built in lights are sooo nice, and came upon this cinder block house. Wow. You'd never think it could be so pretty.
