Mechanical skills

How are your mechanical skills. In spite of my agricultural background my mechanical skills are limited to opening a hood, Changing a flat tire, and maybe jump starting a car if I don't cause a spark. Or holding a wrench on one side of the battery or something else.


I have no other mechanical skill whatsoever, Don't know how to change an engine, what a transmission is or anything else. Know what it is but working on it I am lost. Small engines was bad just not my thing I guess.

What are other peopl'es mechanical skills. Probably better than mine.

I am pleased to say that last week I replaced the manifold and catalytic converter on my commute car. Just waiting on the oxygen sensor to arrive and I will be back on the road. It will also be much quieter then when I was driving around with a huge crack and quarter sized hole in the manifold.

I could write a long post about this, but instead I'll summarize and say, "Nearly non-existent."
