    2 things:

    1. Prices are high because of your policies
    2. I thought you were against raising taxes on the poor?

Obamao just told us that higher taxes hurt the economy, but will he stop his assault on the economy with his policies? Never. He is too arrogant and Dear Leader never admits wrongdoing.

It's long past time to vote him the hell out of the White House.

that's the kind of assertion that needs a warrant. prices are high as a result of mounting tensions with iran and significantly decreased refining capacity.

    2. I thought you were against raising taxes on the poor?
what are you inferring from the video that is contrary to this sentiment?

I thought he was elected to a 4 year term? Isn't the time for a vote not coming up until November?

cam, did you not listen? He said that high gas prices are like a tax taken right out of your paycheck.

As for policies, how about pushing green energy; how about disallowing the Keystone pipeline, etc.

Gas prices tend to be cyclical. They usually go up in the summer and come down in the fall. That is what is happening now, although the price from which the cycle is turning up is higher than usual. This is likely due to a couple things, including the upturn in the economy which in turn increases the forecasted demand for gas.

But certainly some of high prices is also due to Obama's policies. To say that he's hostile to Big Oil is being kind. Also, the uncertainty that exists in the E&P and oil/gas transportation sector is pushing up the price of gas as supply is more difficult to forecast.

The threats to attack Iran and Iran's realtively credible threat to shut the straits of hormuz doesnt help either.

Also, these prices are very early to be part fo the typical seasonal cycle. That doesnt usually hit until May or April.

right, and the implication is that it is bad.

do you really oppose the development of alternative energy sources? are you a member of the hide under the covers and pretend climate change isn't real crowd? how does alt energy affect gas prices? but, i do agree with you that keystone, drilling in anwr, overhauled offshore regulation, etc., all should have been approved long ago.

Yeah, it is earlier than usual, but that, combined with what you and I said collectively, get us to $5 gas. I'm wonder if we hit that mark if Obama's past policies could spell his downfall in November. No one likes to pay $5 gas, especially when there is a perceived notion that the President is directly accountable for the high gas prices.

Do you support 100% government subsidized development of alternative energy sources? Sheesh, talk about taking it to the extreme.

If he believes that higher prices are like a tax, then he should stop pushing policies that increase the prices.

I don't oppose the development of alternative energy sources, but I don't support the development of alternative energy sources as a means to cripple the economy by establishing energy policies to limit oil/coal energy.

The US government should get out of the energy business and let the private market do it.

Yes, indeed. Raise those taxes so the people will know who not to vote come November.
