First, I want to apologize for the post my son made that had people unnecessarily worried. I was really embarrassed that he would do something like that. He has a lot of Garth in him, but not even Garth would needlessly be so irresponsible. So because of his actions, he'll be spending his Saturday mornings until April doing whatever the staff and residents of a retirement center in our stake do whatever is needed. It was only going to be for a month, but each time he complained about missing out on Saturday activities with friends, I added another week. He hasn't complained for a bit, so perhaps he learned to keep quiet and accept that he's responsible for the consequences of his actions.
Anyway, Garth has always told me that this was a good group of people who hang out here. He's told me some of the things that people have shared here and has been trying to get me to join in for quite some time. I've resisted because I generally prefer to have face to face contact with those I associate with, but after months, make that years, of him telling me that I'm missing out, I decided to give it a try. I don't know how much I will participate because I am usually busy and I hope I am able to live up to whatever standards Garth has set for me. He always talks me up and people are surprised that I'm a normal person. I will admit that he is correct when he says he married over his head. He's lucky I'm willing to look past his antics and in truth, I'm lucky to have him.
And so you know, I'm a lot more tactful than Garth when it comes to expressing my opinions, though I try to not talk politics. Garth says one of my weaknesses is appeasement, but I prefer to call it diplomacy. And I'll make sure that he tones it down. He know he can't get away with that crap when I'm around.
Finally, what is this introduction template I've heard about? I can't find it, but it might be fun to use it to better introduce myself.
