  • Claremont McKenna falsifies SAT scores to inflate ranking

NEW YORK (AP) – A senior administrator at California's Claremont McKenna College resigned after admitting that for years he falsified SAT scores to publications such as U.S. News & World Report to inflate the small, prestigious school's ranking among the nation's colleges and universities, according to the college's president.

That's too bad. It seems like a good school.

It is an excellent school. I think that it is doubtful that this one bad apple will spoil the reputation of the whole school. Anyhow, the U.S. News rankings are a big pile of poop. Claremont will Fight On!

Did it used to be Claremont-Mudd or is there multiple Claremont colleges?

Informative. My high school basketball coach, recently the head coach at Newberry Park High who coached BYU traitors Daniel Bobik and Jordan Cameron, went to Pomona College. He did not think much of BYU and I really wanted his two best players to do well at the BYU, but alas perhaps he polluted their delicate and impressionable minds while they were at the 3rd worst high school in the Marmonte League!

Well, the prestige of owning a degree from the Claremont Colleges just took a huge hit.

Of course it seems like a good school. If they were inflating test scores and it didn't look like a good school then I'd be really worried.

My 3-4 good friends who graduated from Pitzer, however, might take some perverse pleasure in this.
