The same U.S. Navy SEAL unit that killed Osama bin Laden parachuted into Somalia under cover of darkness early Wednesday and crept up to an outdoor camp where an American woman and Danish man were being held hostage. Soon, nine kidnappers were dead and both hostages were freed.

I agree with you. Obama gets all the credit in the world for giving the okay for these operations.

Hey, that was a very brave thing of him to do. He could have stubbed his toe on his desk or something as those men were risking their lives to carry out these operations.

Come on now.. A decision like this that could in fact possibly cause the death of a hostage. That is a real outcome and one that would be difficult to make.

Yes I believe Seal Team 6 are bad ass but lets not remember that such decision can come back horribly wrong and have life altering outcomes. Think if this had gone wrong how the media would be in a frenzy over this and just after the STOTU..

Yes, he sits at a desk and gives the green-light. Truthfully I never expected him to be this proactive in these type of things.. I assumed he would of taken the more "peacful" approach via negotiations etc.. The fact he has not taken that approach to me gives reason to give him props...

These Seals seem pretty bad ass. I wonder if theirs a chance to take prisoners or not.

I'm guessing no.. Behind enemy lines and in such cases I think shoot to kill is probably the MO..

Take the Bin Laden out of the equation... Of course that is a no brainer..

I feel bad for the Delta Force. This Seal Team 6 is getting all sorts of cool missions and credit in the media. Deltas are fast becoming red-headed special forces stepchildren.
