First wolf known to set paw in California since the very last one was killed by a trapper in Lassen forest in 1924. He's made his way into the North state all alone, leaving his pack in Northeatern Oregon in search of some better looking women. OR-7 (LA Times seems to have named him Journey) is currently hanging out in Shasta County somewhere. Shasta county is most famous for its high percentage of CUF participants.
OR-7 is alone and looking for a lady. Unfortunately for him, he's headed the wrong way. Fish and game won't release coordinates because they're afraid (and probably rightly so) that someone will kill him. But it's my hope that I'll catch a glimpse of the creature at our father/son campout in May.
This pic was captured by a trail camera in Southern Oregon, near where I grew up.
