I seriously think this USC defense might be the best the NCAA has seen in a long time. They are only giving up 7.8 points per game, 6th in rush defense and 1st in pass defense. 1st in total defense. In fact they are only giving up 124 passing yards per game, UCLA believe it or not is second giving up 157 per game. (side note Max Hall threw for 283 yards and 7tds against the 2nd rated pass defense in the NCAA). Notre Dame did not get its first 1st down until halfway through the 3rd quarter and they finished with 90 total yards.

Most NFL mock sites have USC with 7 first round picks on their defense next year and beyond.

    Rey Mauluga
    Fili Moala
    Brian Cushing
    Taylor Mays
    Kevin Ellison
    Everson Griffin
    Shareece Wright

All of them are potential first round picks, not to mention Kaluka Maiava is projected to go in the first 3 rounds.

    That is unbelievable.

I hope Taylor Mays is coming back. So far, his dad says he is coming back, but we will see.

ND picked up the first down on the final play of the 3rd quarter, iirc.
