I am. I give myself about a year if it works out right.
I haven't decided on a plan just yet. I am going to work on not putting any weight on during the month of december and probably do a modified version of South Beach/Body for Life starting in January.
I did walk last night with my youngest...so we will see.

100 pounds in a year sounds like a very reasonable goal to me. That's 2 pounds a week, give or take, which is within healthy guidelines.
I think the South Beach diet, in principle, is pretty decent. I didn't use it, but the principles behind it make sense to me.
I echo the wishes of luck.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
You're shooting for a 100 lb. weight loss, correct?
Did you decide on a program?
It took me about 18 mths to lose 135 lbs. I lost the first 30 or so fairly rapidly then it went in spurts. I'd plateau for a while then all of a sudden lose 3 or 4 lbs.
All I can say is keep working at it, it can be done.
I may be small, but I'm slow.
