  • Bad news on Wilson

Torn ACL and MCL. Yikes. Has he already redishirted? Have we played too much season for him to qualify for a medical redshirt? I think the answer to both those questions is going to be yes.

The answer is yes on both your questions. That sucks for him.

What about the other injuries yesterday? BYU had a lot of guys helped off the field yesterday.

      This one I figured.

      Fugas didn't seem too bad.

      Worried about fangupo

I think everyone else returns for TCU.

Junkie called it yesterday. It didn't look good when it happened. Wilson will be missed but I am more concerned about Fuga and Loni. Especially Loni. Also, Pendelton was hurt on the onsides as well. And Kav was dinged up.

I think there were more injured players for BYU yesterday than any other game I've ever been to. It seemed like every third play someone was hurt. Good thing they have a couple weeks to get healthy.

Were you there? How was the crowd at the stadium? I had my oldest call her Grandpa after the game to rub the BYU win in his face but he didn't answer.

I read that Loni just sprained something. Doesn't sound too serious.

I was there with Donut, Captain and Jr. The crowd was mostly disinterested. The biggest cheer of the day was when the announcer predicted that ASU would beat Oregon. Lots of empty seats, good representation by BYU at the game many local non-football Mormons.

A terrible week to be a TE in the state of Utah, as Dallin Rogers suffered a season-ending injury as well.

Loni was injury prone at USC. I'm surprised he's made it this far into the season without getting hurt yet.

Crazy how tight end was such a log jammed position going in to the season and now all of the sudden we are really thin.

Mahina- out for season fractured neck
                      Wilson- out for season knee
                      Muehlman- moved to tight end
                      Matthews- moved to receiver
Jorgensen- seperated shoulder out for season
                      Holt- healthy
                      Friel- healthy.

Only two healthy tight ends left.

My hope is that Friel rolls with the opportunity and does well enough that Mahina is moved to DE for next season. I like the one oversized DE that is a hybrid DE/DT, but I would like to see BYU have one legitimate DE with a little more speed who can get some pressure off the edge of the DL.

Matthews is still in the rotation at "tight end." 3 is hopefully enough to last us through the season.

Good news on some of the other guys.

Bronco: Fangupo and Fugo listed day-to-day, Pendleton ready to play Saturday
They should just sit all three next week and get them ready for TCU.

Agreed. These guys do not need to play against the Bengals.
