We do take our chances on who we end up sitting by.

One of the best was when some lady and her husband kept yelling at my brother to sit down. Mind you he doesn't stand all the time, just at plays that are exciting or when someone stands in front of him.

He let them know he would continue to stand at those times and the lady said he did not deserve to have a Temple Recommend.

LOL, she is probably under the impression you have to have a Temple Recommend to get good seats.

Although I really wouldn't want this to happen, my darker side wishes my brother had yelled back, FU lady, I am not a member of your silly church. I am a BYU football fan and that's all.

However, imagine dealing with those folks in a church setting. They could really be intolerable there. They might be leaders in the ward.

I feel bad for whomever has to sit by me. I got tickets for 2 of my young kids this year.

I think in this case you are falsely accusing me. I thought the incident to be humorous. I even indicated in a follow up post we need these folks as they contribute financially to the program.

I freely admit though I am pretty consistent in believing those who contribute more to a group do have more standing in the group. Heck, even the church teaches that. Those who pay tithing have more privileges than those who don't. If you think I have the same opportunity to provide input to church leaders as John Huntsman, you are kidding yourself. I accept that and have no hard feelings over it.
