  • Boise and the Dutch

I've read Boise has at least 4 players from the Netherlands on their roster. Apparently some of their recent player eligibility problems stem from figuring out if these guys were amateurs or not? Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone knows why there are Dutch people playing American football? These guys are good, so they must have some kind of league over there now. I haven't lived there in 20 years, but I never saw evidence that there were even opportunities to play. What gives?

When I was in Europe about 10 years ago the only American Football being played was by the U.S. military schools and that European football league the NFL started. I wonder if these weren't exchange students.

    Anyway, very odd.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

They were exchange students that played football in the Boise area.

There are rece league teams in Europe. When I was on my mission oh so many years ago there was a mens league in Johannesburg South Africa.

Sometimes you have to look under some rocks but the leagues exist.

I thought you were going to go down this road:
