I despair that Wynn is durable enough to be reliable. I fear that Iowa State 2010 (or Cal 2009) was his high water mark. He seems like a good kid, he has the heart and enough talent to be great or very good at this level, but his shoulder is failing him. On the other hand, I'm not excited about a panic pickup journeyman as a stopgap. Hays was at Nebraska-Omaha this season until they discontinued their football program? I trust Whit will do what's best, but I wouldn't mind seeing Shreve get a shot; right now he seems to be the future.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

It wasn't the shoulder he had surgery on just FYI, it was his other non-throwing shoulder.

Oh come on. He's not terrible enough to have both of his shoulders referred to as "non-throwing".

We saw Shreve in spring ball. He is not ready for prime time at the very least.
Col. Klink: "Staff officers are so clever."
Gen. Burkhalter: "Klink, I am a staff officer."
Col. Klink: "I didn't mean you sir, you're not clever."
