  • BYU-OU tickets

Today's the deadline to request. My dad's a CC member so I can make a request through him, but what is everyone doing? Are we safe to go through scalpers? Just buying two tickets, but I would like good seats.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

We bought through BYU and bought the $105 tickets. I am nervous though. I have done better when I didn't go through BYU.

Don't risk it! This game is the exception to the rule. It will sell out. There won't be a single ticket for sale on game day!

OK, I know your philosophy on these things. But playing the inaugural game in Cowboys stadium with OU being within driving distance (not that they wouldn't travel well anyway) doesn't make you a little nervous?

I am actually starting to worry about the swine-flu and the game. Close encounters on the plane and at the game. Plus it will be the closest I have been to Mexico since we played UCLA.

I always listen to Joe Biden and he said this morning he and his family are going to avoid public transportation.

            lol. rookie.

but to answer your question...no. it gives me absolutely no pause at all. zero.

And I promise that BYU is going to give you crappy seats.

              two words: 85,000 seats.

two more words: a hundred bucks.

No, you'll be fine. You can buy from BYU if you want, but tickets, eSPECIALLY on the BYU side, will be easy to come by. Texas Mormons are not particularly interested in paying 150 for a pair of tickets to watch the Sooners climb out of their schooners and stage a reverse MMM.

So are you saying Tex Mormons are cheaper than Utah mormons? There are sixteen of us going down and I know of other groups going. Texas mormons don't even have to pay transportation costs, at least the ones in the Dallas area don't.

I thought everything was bigger in Texas. I guess that includes being cheap.

Please leave TripleD's wife out of this. Thanks.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I doubt y'all are representative. Just like my parents aren't representative of the OU fans who have already booked their hotels rooms for every away game this fall. However, Flash would like to point out that if your girlfriend is representative, he's happy to reconsider BYU's offer.

I don't think BYU has ever played in front of 85,000 fans.

This game will be no exception.

well, there's the ones on TV, right? I mean, surely this one won't be on the MTN?

I didn't even know what a reverse MMM was until about 2 years into our marriage.

                              Does it involve music?
