  • Did Beck 'lose it' in Washington?

Psychologically, Beck needs to have a moment to find "it" before he really turns things on.

He was on the verge of having "it" in Washington, and was actuallly predicted to start by many.

Well, Shanny has annointed Rex as the starter...will that effectively finish off Beck from ever having "it" now in the NFL?

I thought this was his chance...he did everything right, offseason, last pregame wasn't stellar, but that was with the 2nd and 3rd stringers at the skill positions, etc. Thought he for sure would have won the job over Rex.

I am concerned that Beck will falter in the mental aspect now thinking to himself that he will never have "it".

I hope not. It's only a matter of a few games before he's given a shot in D.C.

I actually think not starting the opener could take some pressure off and end up being helpful. I almost wonder if Shannahan didn't pick Grossman for that very reason.

Grossman will screw up in a few games. It's inevitable.

I think Grossman will not screw up terribly bad, and not do terribly good. I think he will just be a mediocre QB. Now...if that is the case, then Beck is screwed.

They will flounder this year under Grossman, and draft high for a QB next year.

It's looking more and more to me like Washington's opportunity is fading rapidly for Beck.

I don't see Shanny pulling Grossman the first time he throws a pick. He won't do the rotating QB thing either. Kinda sucks I think.

NFL = timing and finding the right place. Sheesh.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

It won't be after he throws the first pick, it will be the game after he throws three or four. That may not come for a month or so, but I guarantee that by mid October Rex will be averaging more INTs than TDs.
