  • Well, I did it.

Entry #389962. For a race that accepts 38,000 people. Which would explain why it took me 3 years to get in.

I'm going to train my ass off. THERE WILL BE NO WALKING! I think I may start a blog to chronicle this adventure.

Wow, I had no idea it was so hard to get in. I remember when I put in for St. George thinking that if I didn't get in, I'd just go run NYC instead. LOL.

I swore off marathons after St. George, but NYC is the one (well, two--Rock N Roll is the other) that still tempts me. I'd have a tough time running it for time though--too many cool sites and things to take in.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Despite your horrible taste in NFL teams, I wish you the best.

That would be a very cool way to see NYC. Good luck

That's great, TDB. Let me know if you want info on any post-race places to eat.

That's going to be a great run. Did you see the article in Runner's World a couple of months ago about the firefighter that got run over by a bus and then ran the NYC marathon last year? I seriously wanted to cry while reading that (but I didn't. honest. what kind of a baby cries while reading a magazine article.).

I appreciate the offer. I may be hitting you up for all kinds of NYC info if you don't mind. I've only been back there once, and it was almost 10 years ago.

Yeah, I did read that. Did you see the scars on his body? Holy cow.
