Season Tickets are screwy this year...

So...for someone like me that lives out of state, and usually only catches 1-2 home games a year, BYU really bent us over this year.

I sell me tickets for face value or a little under to move them. This year I am going to lose money big time.

7 Home games: 116.00 per seat x 4 seats = $464.00

Utah Game: 60 per seat x 4 seats = $240.00

Rest of season: 9.33 per seat x 4 seats x 6 games = $224.00

Just seems stupid to me. I get that they are trying to get the most money they can out of the best home game. But it is really kinda dumb.

I am taking 3 friends with me to the Utah game. Normally this game would cost them 25-35 a ticket. I will be interested to see if any of them balk at the 60.00 a ticket price.

I am curious for the high rollers on the board (looking at you 71, 3D, and KDog)...how is the breakout for your seats?

$60 seems very reasonable to me to watch any game of consequence. Personally, I would just tell them it is $75 to go to (most likely) the only good home game in 2011. The price is, what the price is. Take it or leave it.

The price on the street shouldn't be affected by the ticket price. They could put $1,000 for Utah and $10 for the rest or vice versa. Shouldn't matter.

My brother still has ours and he is out of town. I figured the average was $75 per ticket, but I don't know if they were broken out.

I fully understand why we have the schedule we do, but it would have been nice if they said, we are getting a big chunk of money and our current schedule sucks, therefor we will give the fans a break. No such luck and this among many other things make me chuckle when folks claim "BYU" is different.
