What is your take on the Army/Navy game this year?

A good friend from high school is an Annapolis grad. Right now, he is spokesman for the US Naval Academy. I asked him his take and he said something along the lines that "the ground pounders have no business being on the same field as the Midshipmen".

    Thoughts?

Army showed some improvement throughout the season. The Black Knights have a great fullback but the qb has a long ways to go to understanding how to run the triple option. In fact I am not sure how much the coaching staff trully understands the triple option. However, it is a better offense for a service academy team.

The only real bad game Army has played since the end of September was the Rutgers game. I think that Rutgers is improving and that if they would to play the Squids now Rutgers would win. Army has a pretty solid defense that held Air Force's offense in check and my guess will keep Navy to below 28 points, at the most. The key will be whether or not Army's offense can score any points and that is sketchy.

I think the game will be closer than it has been in years with Navy winning by 3-10 points. Army's defense will keep the Black Knights withing striking range, IMO. If the Squids make any errors to give the Black Knights points, my boys could get their first rivalry win in 7 years!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Ok, you've given the football analysis, but I want to hear the military smack that I can pass along to the Commander at the USNA.
