I look forward to the day when I can be at a Utah game and cheer openly when the BYU score comes up on the board and BYU is winning. I think this day is coming and here's why:
Colorado will eventually replace BYU as Utah's rival. BYU's main rival will be Notre Dame. Now that BYU vs. Utah is one of the least important games on either team's schedule, Utah fans, especially those who are LDS, will start to root for BYU because BYU represents their church, and Utah represents BYU's geographical region.
These new conference alignments are a blessing.
