It feels a little spoiled bratish to be unhappy about a 10-2 season. But on the flip side, it feels pretty justified to be unhappy about a season where our best win was against #44 in the nation.

"Double digit win season" rings a little hollow when you schedule for perfection.

There is ceratinly some truth to this and I think this means you shouldn't judge the success of season on wins and loss (particularly for seasons when SOS is historically on the low side (e.g., 2001) or on the difficult side (e.g., 2003)). Base it on the computer ranking. Base it on a measure that is taking into account at least as well as one can this issue with scheduling/SOS/lack of quality wins. Are you happy with the computer ranking or is it a disappointment?

In my model BYU is #26. I consider that a successful season and a good accomplishment. Not an unbelievable accomplishment but its hard for me to get upset when I think BYU is probably somehwere between the 20-35 best team in the country. It also means this season is not as good as 2006 or 2007.
