Since I have had a hard time motivating myself to run, and my NikePlus has been heywire lately not helping me inspire myself, AND because I prefer Basketball as my form of exercise, I was glad to find a group of guys that play at our Stake Center a couple of mornings a week at 6:00 am. Now, 6:00 am is a bit early for me, BUT, it feels good getting up, running around a bit and playing some ball.

I haven't been anywhere were they played morning basketball since high school. I did play a few times with Surfah when he lived in Utah. I thought it was a great way to get your day started.
I wish I had that now, exept I am on the road by 5 am every morningI'm your huckleberry.

There is a group that plays every M-W-F in Eugene at 6:15. When you get in the flow of going for like 2-3 weeks it becomes a great way to start the day. When you stop going the difference between 6:15 and 6:45ish when my middle kid comes and wakes us up seems like an eternity.
I always like playing night ball better, but it seems hard to find people will to play here.Get confident, stupid

Morning ball is great. I did it for 15 years or so. I miss it but I don't miss the injuries. I had a couple of broken bones, several black eyes, and lots of ankle sprains."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I love exercising in the morning, but I hate early a.m. basketball. I much prefer lifting in the a.m. and playing late night bball.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

My ward/stake has been doing this for about 2 years now. As soon as our new stake center was built we started up an early morning group. We play Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30. Saturdays at 6.
We get pretty much the same core group of guys, but there were times when we first started where we would only get 4 or 5. Now we never have less than 12 or 13. On Saturdays we get so many (20-25) we go and open up another stake center as well.*Banned*

I've always been a big fan of night basketball. Our Stake season usually is on Saturday mornings starting as early as 6:00 am, which is rough for me. I figure that if I can go Monday and Friday for a few weeks and get used to the mornings, hopefully I can add the Wednesday games into the mix as well.
