Yes. A buddy of mine came home from church to find a duck from the canal at BYU in his DT dorm room. The duck made a freaking mess of his room. Little known fact:
All the ducks/geese that were affected by the "great salt lake oil spill" of 2010 (the Chevron line that broke and spilled oil into red butte creek, which ended up in the liberty park pond), were taken and cleaned by good animal/environment loving people.
The news channels had a heyday showing the animals being cleaned. The little dark secret that nobody knew was that the oil spill was the best thing to happen to those ducks. You see, all those ducks/geese were considered nuisance animals that had taken up permanent residence in the park. They were scheduled to be rounded up and summarily executed the following week.
But, after the oil spill.... well you can't go and break the neck of a duck that some 11 YO spent most of her free time scrubbing oil off the week previous, so the execution was stayed.Comment
