  • What happens to the MTN games after 2011

I'm sure it is just a matter of time before the MTN folds its travel trailer doors. I'm sure James Bates will land on his feet and Sammi will likely continue to be a regional Sideline Barbie (Jason Whitlockism). Personally, I would be scared to hand Andrea Loyd her pink slip, but I digress.

My question is when the network folds who if anyone will have access to broadcast their old game film? Will BYUTV be able to buy the rights at going out of business prices, of if there is no business there is no rights? As much as I've hated the network, which is a lot, there have been lots of good BYU games over the past 5 years I would like to see again in the future.

This is the first time I've heard of this term, but it has become the standard to put women on the sideline instead of men. It makes me wonder if men who still do the sideline reporter are seen as effeminate or less of a man because of their status on the sideline.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I like Sammi. She's not eye candy, but she does bring a nice enthusiasm to the broadcast. No pun intended.

Sammy will remain with the MTN for the time being. She's a Ute grad so may choose at some point, if they'll have her, to work with whatever network is broadcasting the PAC after next year. She may also choose to work locally as she is rooted in Salt Lake.

I'm sure the rights to their material will be available for sale. I can't imagine a scenario where the channel folds and someone (anyone!) doesn't bid on those rights. I'm sure BYU would be interested.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
