  • BYU questions going into next year...

Here is my official thread aimed for the asking and answering of relevant questions concerning the BYU Cougars 2011 Football team:

1.) Is Graham Rowley going on a mission?

2.) Is Ian Dulan planning to return and play one more year of Cougar football? If so what size is Ian?

3.) Is Matt Reynolds going pro?

4.) Will Jordan Pendleton ever get healthy again or is he going the way of Jernaro Gilford?

5.) Do we have a poster on this venue with bigger knockers than Terrance Brown?

6.) Is the 4th safety going to be Dequan Everrit or the Hadley kid from Snow?

7.) How is Romney Fuga's rehab coming? What projected date does he have that he can start getting ready?

8.) Is Hebron Fangupo really coming, will he be elgible to play? Is he any good?

9.) Just what is Uona Kaveinga going to do once he touches the field? Seeing Uona Kaveinga play reminds me of a hs sweetheart mormon couple where after the boyfriend returns from his mission the wife then chooses to serve a mission. They had been dryhumping since their late teens but didn't get to the wethumping, much better in my opinion, until their mid twenties. I hope the experience of finally seeing Uona on the field is not a bloody mess!

10.) How is the TE situation going to evolve over spring ball? How is Kinekua Friel going to shake up the position?

11.) Will any of the current TEs (Richard Wilson, Devin Mahina, Austin Holt, Mathews, Muehlman and Kinekua Friel) move to another position?

12.) How long until Iona Pritchard moves to FULBACK? YEAH BABY!

13.) Is Dan Sorenson going to stay at OLB or will he be moved back to SS?

14.) Will BYU fans pull string if Bronco does not proclaim that Jake Heaps' calling and election are made sure wrt the qb position over the next 3 years?

15.) Is Jason Munns going to stay at qb?

16.) What coaching changes are imminent?

17.) Will Oneil make it back for 2012?

Feel free to add your own as well as answer any questions queried! Any answers to question #5 must be verified with pictures to keep our resident Poke fan interested in coming back. Thank you.

I've read from USC fall camp reports that Fangupo was slated as the co-starter at NT at USC last fall camp. But he's apparently been battling injuries for 2 years and has barely played. If healthy, he should be good enough to earn playing time.

My question: Is Stout mission bound this off-season?

      18) Is Justin Sorenson (en?) ever going to be the touchback machine he was predicted to be?

      19) How much of a negative effect did Adam Timo's mission have on his athleticism/speed? Will be able to get that back in time for this year?

Weren't reports from camp saying that Uona was running with the 1s all through fall practice? I think he'll do well.

Spoken with the faith of man whose high school gf chose not to serve a mission and who was thusly enjoying the full measure of our creation months before his 22nd birthday!

Good call on Stout. I forgot about that one. I think it would be helpful for BYU's personel management if he were to seek and then honor the call to serve. I am not so sure if I feel likewise inspired for Brother Rowley to serve. Indeed, perhaps he can best serve the Kingdom elsewhere, such as a DE at the BYU!

Sorenson was one of the national leaders in touchbacks his freshman year.

Finally, a question with an easy answer. The rumor is both true and untrue. It's true that they drink it; it's untrue that it is better than Gatorade.

Is it pretty much decided than Fangupo would only have one year of eligibility? Even so we sure could use him with Fuga's and Richardson's injuries.

Yes, note that the kickers for Utah, Air Force, Utah State, Colorado, Colorado State, New Mexico are all in the top 20, which is almost by default, as they are all kicking a large majority of their kickoffs at significant elevation.

Sorenson's less than 40% touchback ratio is not really very impressive when you realize they played 10 games at elevation: 6 home games, and away games at Utah, Utah State, Air Force and Colorado State.

                          So my question remains.

So what percentage are you looking for and what are you basing that benchmark on?
