So do you rank Oklahoma or Texas higher if this big win for OU stands?
I think OU deserves to be ranked higher than Texas if they end up with a 2+ TD win in over Tech. The way their offense has run up huge numbers, and with a convincing win against Tech, it should be Alabama #1 and OU #2. Yeah Texas beat OU, but head-to-head doesn't mean everything.

I think Oklahoma should be above Texas. Right now, I would go Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas. I think Florida is the best team. Oklahoma's offense is unreal, but their D is suspect. In my opinion, Florida would beat Oklahoma without much problem.Just try it once. One beer or one cigarette or one porno movie won't hurt. - Dallin H. Oaks

Hey Babs,
Can you give us a rundown on what this win does to the Big 12 title game? Who plays?

Our offense ran up huge numbers, but everybody expected that. What was impressive was that our D wholly shutdown Tech's power offense. As BlueK suggested, our D has been suspect all year. Yesterday the guys came together and made a statement. I have not seen the team play like this, with this kind of passion, leadership, or purpose, in eight years. It was an awesome experience.
As far as Florida goes, I wish we hadn't given Tech that pity touchdown as time ran out, because at that point our MOV over #2 and undefeated tech was the same as Florida's MOV over DII Citadel.

What could be better than two Southern crimson-clad quadrasyllabic old-school teams whose football is a cult following and whose former coaches are revered as minor deities? Sure, both teams suffer occasional run-ins with the NCAA infractions committee, but what's the harm in that?
It would actually be an interesting storyline. After all, you've got the Tide in the same spot Oklahoma was in nine years ago, with a new coach trying to take a storied program from the gutter of devastating NCAA probation to national title in just two years.

OU is tough and fast. I want to see Florida v. OU in the NC game, and hope like hell that the Utes play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.
OU's defensive backs are the fastest i have ever seen.
