I think BYU and Ute fans can agree on one thing.......
"We should remember that one man is much the same as another, and that he is best who is trained in the severest school." -Thucydides
"Study strategy over the years and achieve the spirit of the warrior. Today is victory over yourself of yesterday; tomorrow is your victory over lesser men."
I told UD I wanted Kyle to deliver a Brock Lesner type speech in the post-game interview. "Well Sammy, for one, I'm glad I don't have to be interviewed by you or your stupid network again, let's start with that."
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
I'll be honest. I liked the concept of having a channel dedicated to your team and their conference. It was nice to be able to know every single game would be televised, but the MTN's execution and broadcast quality was on par with my high school's television program run by a bunch of SNL wannabes. Keep in mind nearly all of us have been out of HS for 15-20 years and I'm no exception in that.
I'm looking forward to watching BYU sports on byutv and ESPN. I hope we get a quality product from the folks at byutv.
I'm also glad that BYU can do whatever in the hell it feels like and doesn't have to answer to anyone but its fans and TSM.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.
I'm excited about the move as an Independent, but I am going to miss some things about the MWC. I liked playing schools like Wyoming, CSU and New Mexico. They are the forgottens of CFB and though small, they have proud fans. They'll always be linked to BYU and I'm going to miss playing them. I won't miss underachieving loser programs like SDSU and UNLV. I'll also miss things like consistent scheduling, conference standings, players of the week and an interest in how conference mates are doing.

I don't think you'll miss those teams as much as you think. I bet you see them fairly regularly in the future once the dust settles.

I've always liked the Cowboys. Not sure why, maybe it's all the rugged individualism stuff their state embodies. I'll miss playing (and beating the shit out of) them. The rest I'm glad to get rid of. Even Air Force, damn cut blockers.
