While I love football, I'm really know little about basketball--meaning watching games is always something I've done with boyfriends to make them happy and I tried really hard to look like I was paying attention to the explanations of what was going on on the court instead of checking out the outfits of the women on the front row. I do occasionally attend a game, though, on my own as I enjoy the electric atmosphere. Would next year's NCAA Regional games here in Salt Lake be worth the $177 for upper-bowl seats?

If you're a fan of basketball, the answer is yes.Originally posted by beelzebabette View PostWhile I love football, I'm really know little about basketball--meaning watching games is always something I've done with boyfriends to make them happy and I tried really hard to look like I was paying attention to the explanations of what was going on on the court instead of checking out the outfits of the women on the front row. If you're casual fan, it would be worth it then you can either decide to go to the games or scalp the tickets to make a bit of money.
If you're not a fan of basketball I'd say don't waste the money."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I'm going to the games. I love college hoops though so I'm not the guy to ask. The atmosphere will be incredible and the ball will be passionate, regardless of whether it will be well played.Originally posted by beelzebabette View PostWhile I love football, I'm really know little about basketball--meaning watching games is always something I've done with boyfriends to make them happy and I tried really hard to look like I was paying attention to the explanations of what was going on on the court instead of checking out the outfits of the women on the front row. I think it would be a great atmosphere to "catch the fever" if you will. Also, NCAA tournament games have so many timeouts which, if you go with someone who likes and understands basketball, make for great teaching/learning opportunities.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

That is 6 games though. I bet scalping prices won't be lower than that. I've bought NCAA games and it really depends on who is sent to the area. You could get lucky and have a bunch of nobody teams or you could have a #1 seed and a POY type guy and the prices will be higher. $177 isn't too bad all things considered IF you want to go to all 6 games.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostHoly crap. No way, don't even pay that much money for tickets. That would be the dumbest move of all time.
Definitely go, but buy your tickets at the venue. $177 for an upper ticket? yikesA man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

When does scalping prices NOT go below face value? if you want to buy your tickets a year in advance they wont. If you wait and buy them 20 minutes before tipoff, they will.Originally posted by CJF View PostThat is 6 games though. I bet scalping prices won't be lower than that.
