I wonder how long they will stick to the "let's not play BYU" strategy?

How are they screwed? They will have 8 teams in the conference so its still a viable football conference. Won't the teams actually make more money since their are two less teams?

Why hate the MWC? What has the MWC done to BYU? It's been nothing but good for BYU. You should start realizing that now that the future schedules are starting to emerge.

Seriously? The MWC, not the member schools, neglected and failed to include critical clauses in the MWC television deals. The lack of those clauses severely damaged BYU. The extent of that damage was not even known until BYU's recent deal with ESPN where BYU made more money per year from ESPN than the MWC as a conference was making from Comcast.

Not to mention the retaliatory invitations to Nevada and Fresno state

Can anyone explain how the MWC is harmed or screwed by having to wait one more year for Fresno and UNR?

They are not. The only difference is that each team needs 1 more game for next year.

Basically, all 8 remaining members are stuck doing what they tried to stick BYU with when they blew up the WAC deal. The best part, none of them have ESPN, a national fanbase, or a substantial reputation helping them.

It is Karhma at its finest..

The MWC did everything possible to try and ensure BYU was unable to fill their schedule with any existing MWC teams. BYU was left to do major work to fill their Indy Schedule..

Now we see that the MWC teams are left with having to scramble and fill at least 1 week for their owns leagues schedule.. I-AA here they come...

So in other words they are in the same situation they were in this year except now they can either play a DivII game for an easy win or do a body bag game with someone in the SEC or BIG 10 and help their Budget out.
