  • What brings you joy?

How about a little break from the things the bug you. What brings a smile on your face?

    1. The success of my sons.

    2. That drive where everything comes together and you're 50 yards past everyone.

    3. Doing 25 mph in a pace line and not hurting.

    4. Doing big, fast GS turns on that uncrowded slope when sun is shining bright.

    5. Hiking in the Tetons.

    6. The sound of waves crashing onto a beach.

    7. Getting out of church ten minutes early.

The Lakers blowing out teams. Coming home to my girls. BYU beating Utah. Blow drying my little girl's hair when I get her out of the bath. Finding money in the pocket of a jacket or pants I haven't worn in a while. Making it rain from outside when my defender disrespects my game by sagging off me. Chipping in. Blasting a quick set inside the 10' line. Perfect waves. Glassy lakes. First tracks at Brighton. The first snow of the year. Going to the temple. Cooking. Eating great food. Good company. Being a family. Ditty by Paperboy.

Hitting a seven iron to within five feet of the cup and then sinking the putt.

Watching my kids having as much fun with their little ones as I did with them when they were that little.

The sound of my wife's laughter when she's talking to one of our daughters on the phone.

                      Clients who keep coming back.

Walking toward the stadium, hearing the sound of the marching band's drums getting closer, and feeling the excitement in the air.

Seeing my babies get excited when I get home from work.
Cuddling my babies as they fall asleep.
Climbing into bed after a hard day's work and a hot shower.
                            Staying at the cabin.
                            Spending time with friends.
                            The start of football season.
                            Seeing a child smile.
                            Witnessing an act of kindness.
                            A great marriage.

                              Great thread.

Being in a zone. When the hoop looks like the Pacific Ocean and I know everything I throw up is going in.

Walking up a mountain at 7am with a shotgun in my hand and a dog who knows exactly what he's supposed to be doing out there.

When I see that dog freeze up on point, wait for me to get close and then flush a bird I ultimately blast and eat later that day. Nothing beats it.

Thought of my son joining me on those hunting trips when he's old enough.

Watching Mrs. SMR be a mom to my kids. She is the MJ of moms.

Seeing members of the church who could find many other things to do, sacrifice their time and talents to serve in the church and bless the lives of others.

Watching CJ Miles throw a wild alley-oop and then watching as Ronnie Brewer goes up and gets it and throws it down with
                              authority.

Simply spending time with my kids. It doesn't matter what we are doing, any time is quality time.

Making my 4 month old daughter smile - it's not hard and it happens often. It doesn't get any better than that.

Watching Max Hall pick apart the ute defense...oh wait...
