BYU is playing them in a 4 game home and home series. Beats playing Colorado St. & Wyoming.

Didn't you get the Ute fan memo? BYU will only play Idaho, NMSU, La Tech and Utah State type teams. Forever.

      A better, more athletic AFA?

That sounds like a bad idea.

You know what, we might have some growing pains in our independance infancy. We might have some .500 or so years, but our schedule will appeal to a lot of recruits.

Come to BYU and play Texas, Notre Dame, Utah, Boise State, Georgia Tech, Central Florida, Oregon State and West Virginia.

That beats the hell out of come to BYU and play UNLV, San Diego State, Wyoming, Colorado State and New Mexico.

We're going to be playing some high profile teams all over the country. There'll be a lot of national attention on our players and programs. Our recruiting base will expand.

Also, I still have a lot of faith in Bronco. I'm willing to cut him some slack if we have 1 bad year every fifth year.

That will be a nice game sandwiched between La Tech and NMSU.

Again, where would you rather play: Laramie or Florida? Fort Collins or Florida? Reno or Florida? Albequerque or Florida? It's a no-brainer. Besides, it'll be nice to play a Florida team we can beat.

How does Fort Collins, Albuquerque, Reno, and Laramie compare to Rushton, Las Cruces, and San Jose? The former represent cities BYU football will likely never see again, and the latter represent cities that are on BYU's schedule in 2011 and 2012.

Also, C-USA must get a ton of recruits considering they get to play in Houston, Orlando, Memphis, Dallas, and New Orleans.

Central Florida will roll BYU next year.

I hope that was said just for my sake.

Yeah, we'll just need to make sure they understand that they need to not get kicked off the team or suspended if they want to play.

The good news is the WAC deal is only for two years. Everyone knew that they would need schedule fillers during those first few years. I am glad the WAC is willing to accommodate.
