This is not the first completely bone-headed comment she's made. In fact, she's made dozens of them. And yet her numbers have been very good. This poll has her 3 points ahead.

Have any of her comments gotten much traction? This is the first time I've ever seen realclearpolitics.com quote her. I think telling a number of Hispanic students that they look Asian is the kind of thing that will get traction.

But wasn't Harry Reid the one that said something like Obama doesn't talk like a black guy and that's why he was a viable national candidate?

She is a terrible, terrible candidate for Senate. I am nothing short of disgusted at the short-sightedness of the local Republican party in putting through perhaps the only candidate on earth who couldn't oust Harry Reid. She is raising bundles of dough, and she's still going to lose. She was bad enough in the debate that I'm actually thinking about voting for Harry Reid. If we're going to have a terrible Senator, at least he'll keep some federal money flowing into my state for another 6 years.

I watched excerpts from that debate and Harry Reid didn't look all that swift either. I'm trying to figure out how a guy like that became majority leader of the Senate.
