  • Strong photographic evidence Chambers' PI call was legit

On the zoom it's kind of hard to miss that left wrapped around Chambers' left arm and holding it down.

I haven't been on the internets for a while, but did anybody think it wasn't legit? That was one of the easiest calls a referee will ever make.

Ohh most definitely - even a majority of BYU fans were commending OC for his acting... and certainly there was a bit of that, but it wasn't because it wasn't PI.

I'm beginning to think you never ever really rooted for BYU.

So what is the hand in that picture Hot Lunch? A phantom? Because if that is a hand it IS PI and it's not even a conversation. And it is a hand. So it is PI. So it's not really a conversation. So give Surfah his apology

I'm with you on this. That was a weak PI call.

If you want to go frame by frame on the OL then on every play there should be 5 holding calls against just about every OL in college football too. Nobody is denying there was contact. But did the defender impede OC from catching the ball with the contact? That is what determines PI. In my opinion he did not impact OC and OC sold it with a good flop.

it was a makeup for that botched fumble call.

How does that work? The botched fumble call went BYU's way also.

If you have your left arm wrapped around the WRs back and grabbing the receiver's elbow and the receiver falls backwards, that's going to get a flag every time. Easy call.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

It was a great flop by Chambers that led the official to throw a flag on a play that probably wouldn't have been called otherwise.
