Denard is the best player in the country right now and I'm not sure there is even much of a discussion. If he stays healthy he could have the greatest season in college football history stats wise.Originally posted by U-Ute View PostHe never recovered from the Utah game.
LMJ, Ingram, Trent Richardson, and I'd even put Denard Robinson in the discussion.Get confident, stupid

I agree. Technically, he isn't a RB, which is the only reason for my qualifier.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostDenard is the best player in the country right now and I'm not sure there is even much of a discussion. I saw this morning that he's on track to be the first play ever to get 2000 yards rushing + 2000 yards passing. That is ridiculous. He is responsible for more points than 54 FBS teams.

Mark Ingram is a first-round draft pick that isn't the best RB on his own team, so that doesn't mean much.Originally posted by Surfah View PostWhat? Just last month he was a first round draft pick.

BYU's all-time highest rushing for a season was Staley in 2001, with about 1600 yards. 2000 yards rushing by a quarterback is amazing, I wonder what the NCAA record is for a QB.Originally posted by U-Ute View PostI agree. Technically, he isn't a RB, which is the only reason for my qualifier.

That said, I'll wager he won't get 2000 rushing.

One of those teams, unfortunately, is BYU.Originally posted by U-Ute View PostI agree. Technically, he isn't a RB, which is the only reason for my qualifier.

In fact, prior to today's game, Denard has 905 yards rushing, while BYU has 599 yards. Denard has 1008 yards passing, while BYU has 964 yards. So he has not only outscored our entire team, he has also accounted for more rushing yards, passing yards, and (obviously) total yards than the entire BYU team.
