Yeah, good read. I didn't know that they don't record their stats. That kind of sucks. In 10 years when he's shooting the lights out in the stake tournament he'll be asked about his college stats and they'll google him and not find anything. They didn't even have video of his 63 point game. Unreal. Too bad BYU missed on him. I know they asked him to walk on. Did they not have a schollie for him?

Which brings up an interesting point of conversation. Would you rather walk on to a big D1 school or be the man at a lower division school?

If he walked on at BYU he would have had a schollie after a semester. Imagine him at the 2 right now for us, and then you bring Emery off the bench. So you get instant energy off the bench. That would be unreal. I also hate to think about a lineup a few years ago of Plaisted, Cummard, Tav and Jaycee Carroll.

I would rather walk-on a big D-1 school. Makes for a bigger story when you get old and grey.

Case in point, my Ol' Man walked on to UNLV. Sounds strong, right? That was in the early 70's (Pre-Shark days) and anyone that was 6'8'' could walk-on. It still makes for a great story and when he tells the guys that we work with, they all say "No shit? UNLV? That is impressive"

A free education and the chance to play right away is always better than having to pay while you go to school and have a less chance to play.

I know that I wasn't good enough to get past them.

You've replaced YOhio on the list.

I can't help but think Toolson's brand of cream would have risen right to the top at BYU.
