We are at that point. Seed and it's lower cost versus sod and it's quicker turn time. Anybody have any strong feelings for either? And if so, can anybody provide a good recommendation for a sod farm or hydroseeder in the 801? Much thanks.

Here's my opinion.
Small lawn: Seed. Nuy double what the package says you'll need. Keep it wet and use straw or an appropriate mulch
Medium size lawn: Sod. Better for medium size lawns, imo, not too huge that you're breaking your back putting it in (can be done in a day) and not too expensive.
Large Lawn: Hydroseed. it's generally cheaper than sod, and from what I hear and read, it's just as easy to propogate.
We'll be replacing our "lawn" next year and we'll be using seed mainly because our yard is minute. Postage stamp is a generous description.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Frakkin' hack!
On another note - how is it getting sod or seed up and growing in Utah in September? Is that a bad time or good time...anyone have any thoughts on that?
