  • Marshall-Ohio bowl game ratings 15% higher than BYU-Oregon State

    http://www.bcsfootball.org/news/story?id=4819384

    2.97 versus 2.58

Even though BYU finished with 11 wins and 12th in the nation and Oregon State was ranked going into the game. Just exactly how big is the BYU TV market?

Yes! If Indy sees this as a negative it has to be a done deal. Furthermore, it has to be a good thing for BYU.

Sorry Indy, but all your poo-pooing of this is really quite silly at this point.

I just want to know if the hard-ons being waved around this forum are from actual pictures, or just incidental morning wood.

I've heard that sometimes the situation that occurs naturally in the morning can lead to viewing illicit pictures. For this reason we don't allow internet or TV in our home until 10 AM.

Well, the BYU game was played during prime time on the East Coast with no competing bowl games.

exactly. Day of week, time of day, against what competition on other channels and other factors have to eb accounted for.

You're point is valid -- BYU isn't as big of a draw as many people think it is, but this isn't the best example.

One was played on a Tuesday night before the holidays, the other on a Saturday afternoon, the day after Christmas.

The Marshall Ohio game was also much closer that the BYU-OSU game.

Unfair though as that had Wyoming in it.

OK, so it's simply a matter what day it is, not the size of your market?

Come on Indy, you arent going to bully anyone into this. You can see very well the point being made.

What about the TV ratings for the Western Michigan/Central Michigan game on Oct 17, 2009 vs. the TV ratings for BYU/SDSU on the same day. Both on Saturday.
