Problem Posting YouTube videos

I am inserting the embed code in between the opening and closing tags, but get nothing but white space where the video should be. What's up with that?

Here's what you do...

(1) Gather up all your windows-based computers and non-iPhones and take them to beach. Throw them into the ocean making sure they sink to the bottom.

(2) Stop at the Apple Store on the way home and tell the people that work there what you did. They will tell you what you need to buy.

(3) When you get home, take down and gather up all your Ute propaganda, clothes, diplomas, or, for that matter, anything red and take all this crap to your back yard. Apply a generous amount of boy scout water (aka. gas) and ignite. Only buy BYU kosher items from then on.

(4) Call your home teachers and have them came over immediately. Ask them to bless your home.

One you have done the above you are ready to insert youtube videos into your post. Find your favorite youtube video and note the URL:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3ZAGBL6UBA&feature=...

The part after the "v=" and before the "&" (or "Z3ZAGBL6UBA") is the unique video identifier. Copy that part of the URL and place it between the youtube opening and closing tags like so:

{YOUTUBE}Z3ZAGBL6UBA{/YOUTUBE}

(except use the square brackets)

The result should be this:

[YOUTUBE]Z3ZAGBL6UBA[/YOUTUBE]

No, something changed. The embed code used to work.

yep I tried to use the embed code today with the USC Hawaii video and it didn't work.

Don't use the full embed code like before, see Ted's missive on the matter. No idea when/why it changed, but the new way is far easier to use than the old way.

As Uncle Ted points out, all you need now is to put YOUTUBE brackets around the video's YouTube unique ID....

Right. You just need to know where the code is. Not user-friendly at first, but once you get it down it's easy. (I had to refer to Ted's post a few times.) All you really need to know is this about the embed code:
