I remember when Denver was running up and down the court under Westhead in the early 90s, they would put up 140, but the opponent would put up 155 and the Nuggets would get blown out.
The most impressive part of this run to me, is that the Suns are blowing these teams out. Granted, two of the worst teams in the league, but it's not as if playing those teams is an automatic blow out win. It's early, but I'm impressed so far.
It will be interesting to see what they can do against a good team.I'm like LeBron James.

Likely not much now that Amare is basically gonzo.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI remember when Denver was running up and down the court under Westhead in the early 90s, they would put up 140, but the opponent would put up 155 and the Nuggets would get blown out.

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I couldn't decide what was funnier. The claim that Deron is a Top-50 all time great, or palangi ranking Paul Pierce ahead of Wade. He points out that he has a problem with Wade, because, except for that one year, his teams don't win. As if Paul Pierce's teams were racking up the wins every year before KG and Allen arrived.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I thought the same thing about Pierce. They were just about to let that guy go before the big trades went down that summer. I remember back in the days with him and Antoine Walker, watching both of them chuck up what seemed to be about 20-25 3s a game and wondering why both of them were on the same team.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI couldn't decide what was funnier. The thing about Williams.....he has the tools and I would definitely say he is a top talent in the league.
But of all years, this is a strange year to be pimping Deron as one of the all-time greats. Due to injury, he is having a pretty pedestrian year by his standards and the jazz are battling for a playoff spot.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

All they see is the last 7 games. The rest of the season doesnt matter because he wasnt healthy, not that he is healthy he is proving his worth.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI thought the same thing about Pierce. Well, he has been playing well the past week or so, no doubt. He was great against the Lakers last week.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostAll they see is the last 7 games. The rest of the season doesnt matter because he wasnt healthy, not that he is healthy he is proving his worth.
I guess someone should inform Lamar Odom that he will be a Top 50 Player of All Time, and is likely Top 5 in the league currently.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Huh? How is he having a pedestrian year by his standards? Last year 18.8/10.5 and this year 19.2/10.2 (playing a fraction less than last year). His shooting %'s are down, but he's getting to the line more and converting at a higher rate, so in terms of efficiency (TS%, PPS) he's not that far off of last year.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBut of all years, this is a strange year to be pimping Deron as one of the all-time greats. I agree that his numbers aren't what they could have been had he not been injured, but at this point he's playing as well -- and likely better -- than at any point in his career. He started slow this year coming back from the injury and in his first 20 games back he did average a pedestrian 13.4/10.4. Put over his last 22 he's putting down a ridiculous 23.9/10.7. Kid is ballin right now.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Odom seriously could be if he wanted to. He is that talented. During that same stretch, I think the Jazz are barely .500, if not below .500.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostWhat the hell, I'll go ahead and bite.
21 and 11 for the month of January.
27 and 11 so far in February.
That's one heck of a long week or so.
Williams doesn't seem to be making his teammates better.
But maybe he is Top 5 right now because you are right, that is a lot of points.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
