I might have to keep tabs on this story. It could be that things have occurred just as the lawsuit claims--that a graduate student in educational counseling has been remediated for her beliefs regarding homosexuality.
However, my experience suggests another possibility: that instead of demonstrating her mastery of the assigned material, she instead articulated her non-discipline-specific beliefs about homosexuality. I've had a few religiously conservative students get defensive and fall into that particular hole.
