  • Leaky sink has ruined cabinet floor.

Found out today that there has been a small leak under my kitchen sink, dead center. I have so many cleaning supplies etc... under there I didn't notice anything. Looking today though I saw and smelled some mold and took everything out. It is not good. Basically beginning at about 8 inches into the floor (particle board) the floor sags a good 2-3 inches, maybe more. It is beyond repair. Have any of you ever replaced a cabinet floor without tearing out the whole cabinet? I'm thinking I could probably rip it out of there and re-install with a 2 or 3 board cut. Not going to be fun.

yeah, we did it last year. It's not pretty, but you can do it.

Yes. I had to do the exact same thing last spring. I was able to pry the entire face of the cabinet off without damaging it so it gave me a lot more room to work. It took me about ten times longer than I thought it would, but that's the way home improvement/maintenance projects always turn out for me.
