I'll never have to hear any more dumbass arguments about why I should be cheering for Utah because it will help our conference.

lol, nah, I just always hated this argument, regardless of which side was saying it. I never cheered for Utah against non conference teams and I don't expect Utah fans to be cheering for BYU either. That is what makes the rivalry fun. If I was on cougarboard too much, I'd say something like at least we won't have to worry about getting hit by beer bottles after you guys stop scheduling us

I always looked at as the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I realized the value of Conference mates winning OOC games when seeing the impact it has on RPI in basketball. Besides, I would always rather beat a 10-1 BYU than a 6-4 BYU.

That's right. We really need Utah to win now as it is one of the few opportunities to improve our SOS.

Is it OK for me to say that I hate the U in this thread. It just seems like the right thing to do because to the thread title.

I have never understood the arguments that I have to cheer for Utah's rival because it might help the conference. It's not as if anything I do would actually have any influence on the outcome.

Wait a minute. You guys aren't saying when I cheer for my own team, I am not effecting the outcome? It just has no effect when I am cheering for another team?
