  • Eight events

    1. Pac 10 decides to expand
    2. Notre Dame decides not to become the 12th Big 10 team
    3. Nebraska moves to Big 10
    4. Missouri not invited to Big 10
    5. Pac invites Colorado prematurely (this one's arguable but I think it's possible Pac decides not to expand at all or wait a year to weight its options again if the Texas rejection comes before they invite Colorado. or Texas and A&M might not have felt like they were being strong armed if Pac doesn't make that move.)
    6. Tex A&M balks at the Pac 10 invite
    7. TV network steps up to save Big 12
    8. New 10 team Big 12 decides not to expand from 10 to 12

Over the last week, I count eight events. All eight went Utah's way. All eight went against BYU.

Any one of these events go the other way and we don't end up in this situation.

SU was right. God hates BYU.

Here's some advice for you, you archetypical ZOOB. Try to process this tragedy you're experiencing right now outside the little box in which your brain has resided. Try to get it outside the box with the little eye-hole cut outs and look at the forest. Everything that you have accepted as verity your entire life isn't as you have thought it was. You won't grow if this shocking turn is just processed through the same little box with the eye-hole cutouts. You need to get out of the box and re-evaluate everything.

Once again we see that reflection is not a strong suit. You are trying to bend reality and cram it into that little box. This will always hold you back.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

        --Jonathan Swift

I've got something in a box for you. Justin Timberlake sings about it.

Wow. Bravo. Well done. Encore! Encore!

You disagree that taking probabilities of each singular event and doing the math it would come out that this was a very improbable event?

I like how you call me and ERCoug the archetypical zoobs, though. You might want to rethink that. You might be the one looking at the BYU issue through a little box.

You realize that you look at BYU through the box on your head, right?
