If it had begun with Boise State, or even Colorado, the bulk of the violence could have been avoided. I don't know that it's possible now.
Here's the latest:
1. Nebraska apparently has its Big Ten golden ticket now, if you believe Fox Sports Ohio. The cable TV channel reports that Nebraska to the Big 12 could be a done deal by Friday. One high-level Big 12 source pronounced that Nebraska to the Big Ten is a done deal. Another cautioned that Nebraska could still be negotiating a timetable for its full share of the Big Ten revenue pie, estimated at $20 million. Everybody said the Cornhuskers were the key to holding the conference together? If they announced they're gone by the end of the week, what next?

After a weekend of denials and hushed discussions, the Big Ten will expand to 12 teams as early as Friday. Reports are emerging that the Nebraska Cornhuskers will become the 12th team in the league.

Has there been any talk of how the divisions will be aligned in the B10+2? I would think that Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State would all be in the same division. Are they going to keep Minnesota/Wisconsin for Paul Bunyan's Axe, Minnesota/Michigan for the Little Brown Jug, Indiana/Purdue for the Old Oaken Bucket?Originally posted by dabrockster View PostI really hope this was not the only one the Big Ten will be offering?? If so, I am not sure if it is just a ground out double.. Possibly a triple. But in no way shape or form is this a Home Run...
My hope was Texas.. I am jealous of the PAC 10 if they get who they have offered...
To keep the jug and axe alive it would mean Minnesota and Wisconsin would be in the division with Ohio State, Michigan, MSU.Get confident, stupid

Before today not much talk about Nebraska or how the cofnerence will allign, but now that they have been offered and looks like they will accept. I am sure it will be the talk today in the afternoon. I'll let you know what they say. Right now the feelings are mixed. Nebraska can be good and the defensive style fits the Big Ten. Pellini is a former tOSU guy so they like that..Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostHas there been any talk of how the divisions will be aligned in the B10+2? As a for other sports. With the Big Ten being THE Wrestling spot, the addition of Nebraska is sweet. They are a good team in wrestling and this only adds more strength to the conference for wrestling. I am sure other sports as well.. This was a great move for UN..
