  • Dates when posts are added

Would like to have a date when a post is made, or replied too. I don't get around to all the posts as quickly as I'd like too....and at the risk of saying something that is like 3 weeks behind the original thread...it would be nice to know how recent a thread/post/reply is.

Is that a possible addition to this forum?

    Thanks.

I found your post of today at 5:37 PM (CST) to be a very reasonable request, and second his request in my post of 5:59 PM CST of the same day. JL? Your move.

I also agree with Rosebud's later stipulation, as noted by this edit.

Not sure what I can add to that.

Borg, look at the left side of your browser. Just above the avatar/moniker.

If you prefer, you can choose to believe that Lebowski turned that feature on just now, just for you.

You're not the only one, actually. It's actually pretty funny to see somebody come in with guns a-blazing, infuriated over something that they didn't realize happened months ago.

I wouldn't mind if the time of the latest post is added to the search result. i.e. when you click on the "New Posts" link.

But only because it seem you are taking requests right now.

Also, some ambiance music would be nice. And Hors d'œuvres.

I am going to hope my suggestion doesnot end up having been settled here long before, but here is what i happened to notice, there is no way of getting informed if people have edited their posts and might actually have added or deleted a noticable part to/from it unless the posts have been sitting there long enough to be caught by the next poster who feels like quoting them. I am wondering how feasible or even desirable is for people in here to know about the change that have been made in the thread they just have done reading it minutes ago. Although I can understand the annoyance of getting back to thread and find out that someone has just been cleaning his/her spelling mess or grammer bumps,or in my case both.

That's also a good idea. JL, how about putting a little note at the bottom of the post stating when it was last edited?

And yet you wont get to know what they have "added" to their post. Nice try though AA.

There is a great little "compare versions" thing if you click on the hyperlink when you edit your own posts, incidentally. I imagine mods can see it, too.
