  • The Utah-Notre Dame thread

I know it's early to do this and I am not even sure a thread should be devoted to a single OOC game, but this seemed to be one way to announce that I got my Notre Dame tickets last Friday. I am pleased; my sons are ecstatic.

Color me envious, but know that I only have myself to blame, as I'm not a Level 5 donor.

I suppose I could get tickets from another source, but I'd much rather have been in the sliver of Ute fans who will be there in the stadium.

I can't believe you're letting your kids use your extra tickets! This is like the Droid situation all over again.

Should be a fun trip and a game where the Utes should get a win.

I got mine, too. That gave me the serious tingles.

My wife wasn't quite as enthusiastic, but she's looking forward to Chicago. Love that Peter Cetera.

ahem, um, how many did you end up with?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I bought two tickets in the south end zone (specific section TBD) for $200. I'm pretty stoked.

As for the game, I'm curious as to which Irish team shows up. Will it be the Weis-era Domers that fade hard and lose to the Navy and UConn's of the world? Or will it be a rejuvenated program that finishes strong and carries some momentum into Brian Kelly's 2nd year? Should be fun. And very cold.

I got only 4. That's all someone at my donation level can get. So I have one extra. I will see about getting one more . . . .

I'm excited about this trip. A buddy of mine has tickets-no idea where they are. I'm looking forward to a trip to Chicago that doesn't involve written or oral tests.

That is a fun trip. Fans who aren't making the trip should be ashamed. Notre Dame is like the mecca of College Football. Not sure what type of scheduling deal Utah got, but if you aren't making the trip this year, absolutely make the trip the next time. Well worth it.

Especially since it is a game that Utah should absolutely win.

I'm taking my old man for his 70th birthday. The only really good thing about flying every week is that I have a plethora of plane tickets
