State Government.......a microcosm of the Feds

My folks finally won a property tax appeal. Both parties agreed to the new value about 2 weeks ago. Another auditor signed off, 1 week ago. Now they have to wait 4-5 weeks to get a letter confirming the new value. Then they will get a check back in about 2 weeks after.

The government, whether state or federal have a real problem being efficient. Too many lifers that can't be fired and no incentive to perform their work efficiently.

We are screwed as a nation.
