  • USA vs The World NBA All-star game......

I think this is what David Stern is hoping for someday. So if it were to happen today based on the following criteria:

    2 centers
    4 forwards
    4 guards.
    2 any position

Who do you have on the World team? My picks:

    Starting 5:

    C: Yao Ming (china)
PF: Tim Duncan (Virgin Islands, US territory but for this is works)
    SF: Pau Gasol (Spain)
    SG: Hedo Turkoglu (Turkey)
    PG: Tony Parker (France)

    Bench:

    C:Nene (Brazil)
    F: Dirk Nowitzki (Germany)
    F:Luol Deng (England)
    G:Steve Nash (canada)
    G:Manu Ginobili (Argentina)
    G: Jose Calderon (Spain)
    F: Andrei Kirilenko (Russia)

Who would you add? Who would you leave off?

I'd give them the shitty guys like Fesenko. I'd even make a special exception that would allow Gordan Giricek and Raul Lopez to suit up.

      Don't forget Jose Ortiz.

At one point I thought this was a good idea, but I don't anymore.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Hasn't Barangani been pretty good? Man the world isn't producing the ballers many would have us believe they are, if Nene is on the list.

Nene is having a big year this year. Thats why I included him. 15.1 points 8.7 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.2 steals in 30 minutes while shooting 61.7% from the floor.

Yeah, that is a solid year. But an All-Star type year? Memo is putting up similar numbers this year (17.5 points, 8.3 boards, .8 steals, .7 blocks, 2 assists in 34 minutes a game) and I wouldn't consider him All-Star worthy. Solid season, but not All-Star.

If you go that route, you would have to pick the 12 of the following players for team USA:

                Kevin Garnett
                Dwight Howard
                Lebron James
                Chris Bosh
                Amare Stoudamire
                David West
                Carlos Boozer
                Danny Granger
                Paul Pierce
                Kobe Bryant
                Chris Paul
                Dwayne Wade
                Carmello Anthony
                Deron Williams
                Brandon Roy
                Chauncey Billups
                Michael Redd
                Tracy McGrady

18 guys off the top of my head who are all probably deserving of an All-Star bid, and you have to cut 6 of them each year?

                I vote no.

Well lets see Boozer, Redd, Deron, Carmelo, Mcgrady, David West.

                  That was easy.

You feel like Luol Deng, Jose Calderon, Nene, Andre Kirilenko and Hedo Turkoglu are more deserving of All-Star spots than the guys above? I don't.
